A gutter needs a sound attachment surface. Mac checks visible fascia at the estimate and inspects what is exposed during removal, but dcGutterPRO is not trying to be a full-service soffit, fascia, painting, or roofing company.
What may fit the gutter project
A very small section of gutter-related fascia damage may be repairable when it is straightforward and necessary for proper attachment. Mac confirms that scope after he can see the affected material.
What is referred out
Widespread rot, full fascia replacement, soffit replacement, roof repair, structural damage, painting, and metal wrapping belong with a carpenter, roofer, painter, or specialty contractor. Mac would rather identify the right boundary than take a job outside his normal work.
Hidden conditions are possible
An existing gutter can conceal damaged wood. Mac notes what is visible during the estimate, but the final condition may not be known until the old gutter is removed. The homeowner is told before additional work is authorized.
Repair before the new gutter depends on it
A new seamless run should not be fastened to material that cannot hold it. If another contractor is needed, Mac can pause that portion of gutter work until the attachment surface is ready.
Fascia and gutter questions
Does dcGutterPRO replace full fascia boards?
Generally, no. Mac may handle a very small gutter-related repair, but larger replacement is referred to the appropriate carpentry or roofing contractor.
Can fascia damage be seen during the estimate?
Sometimes. Existing gutter can hide rot or damage, so Mac explains visible concerns and the possibility that more will appear after removal.
Do you repair or replace soffit?
Not as a normal standalone service. dcGutterPRO stays focused on gutters and limited attachment-related fascia work.
Do you paint or wrap fascia?
No. Painting and metal wrapping are outside the normal gutter scope.
What happens if another contractor is needed first?
Mac identifies the affected section and coordinates the gutter timing so the new system is installed only after a sound attachment surface is available.
